The Ugly vs. Messy Debate.
Is the room ugly or is it just messy? Some of those leaving comments on myuglyroom.com are taking issue with rooms that are untidy but otherwise in good shape.
Our position? We think showing the world that you've turned your home into a pack rat's paradise is not just brave, it's ugly. In most cases very ugly. Now, is a messy room something that should be rated higher than a room with a rotten floor and peeling paint? Hey, we're not the judges here, you are. Some of these rooms just need to be cleaned. Yes, they made it UGLY by turning it into a Pack Rat's Paradise themselves. But, should they be rewarded. NO!
They should be asamed of trying to profit from their laziness. When I think of a slob winning $10,000 over a fire gutted home or a kitchen without walls, I get sick!
